The JSID bestows the Young Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology Award (Young JSID Award) to enhance the motivation of junior researchers aged 40 or younger.
Eligibility (Qualifications)
Awarded to the most notable researcher in Japan during the last 5 years, who meets the following conditions.
A member of the Japanese Society for Investigative Dermatology (for 3 years or more)
Professors, or those holding an equivalent position at the time of application deadline, and the past awardees of the JSID Award shall be excluded.
Up to the age 40 as of 31 March 2024.
Application
Self-nomination. Applicants shall submit their CV by e-mail to the JSID office (e-mail: office2@jsid.org) by June 1, 2024.
Each current or former member of the Board of Directors (Ages 60 and below in case of a former member of the Board of Directors) shall make one nomination.
The Committee on Scientific Activities shall be able to independently raise additional nominees.
Each nominee shall submit their research achievements (papers and a list of their JSID academic conference presentations) to the Committee on Scientific Activities.
Selection method
The Committee on Scientific Activities shall recommend a limited number of nominees at a meeting of the Board of Directors, considering the nominees' academic achievements.
Up to three finalists shall be selected by vote of the Board of Directors.
The selection for applications is done in consideration of diversity.
Note: Applicants for this award cannot apply for the JSID Award and the Sun Pharma RISING SUN AWARD.
